• The journal’s publication policies are based on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors’ (ICMJE) authorship criteria (www.icmje.org), and conducted in accordance with the rules proposed by the Scientific Editors Council. Accordingly, authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to the best practice guidelines for ethical conduct outlined in this statement.

• Current Progress in Medical Sciences editors endorse the principles embodied in the Declaration of Helsinki and require that all investigations involving humans will have been performed in accordance with these principles. For transplantation research, authors must include a statement in their submission verifying the source of transplanted organs. All human studies must be approved by the investigator’s Institutional Review Board.

• In addition, for studies or case reports conducted on human participants, you must state clearly in the text that you obtained written informed consent from the study participants. For studies involving minors and vulnerable people groups, obtaining assent is required, and it should be clearly stated in the text that assent has been provided.

• The privacy rights of human subjects must always be observed. Authors must protect the confidentiality of subjects and must not communicate participants’ names, initials, or medical record numbers.

• For experiments involving animals, ethical committee approval and a statement regarding ethical practices should be included in the “Methods” section of all research articles.

• A submitted manuscript must be an original contribution not previously published (except as oral or written abstract presentations), must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere, and, if accepted, must not be published elsewhere in similar form, in any language, without the consent of PubAcademia. Although the editors and referees make every effort to ensure the validity of published manuscripts, the final responsibility rests with the authors, not with the Journal, its editors, or the publisher.

• This journal requires a report showing that the article has been electronically checked for plagiarism using “iThenticate” before publication and that the plagiarism rate is below 25%.

• It is essential that authors avoid all forms of plagiarism and ethical misconduct as represented below.

Plagiarism: To Republish whole or part of a content in another author’s publication without attribution.

Fabrication: To publish data and findings/results that do not exist.

Duplication: Using data from another publication that includes republishing an article in different languages.

Salamisation: Creating multiple publications by supernaturally splitting the results of a study.

Data Manipulation/Falsification: Manipulating or deliberately distorting research data to give a false impression.

• We disapprove of unethical practices that violate the rules of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), such as plagiarism, fabrication, duplication, data manipulation/falsification, salamisation, gift authorship, inappropriate acknowledgments, and references.

• Only use artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies to improve readability and language, not to replace key researcher tasks such as interpreting data or drawing scientific conclusions. Please include a description of the content that was created or edited with the tool, as well as the name and manufacturer of the tool used. In Research Reports or Reviews, this description would appear in the Method section; in other types of articles, it should be incorporated to best suit the structure of the article. Although the use of AI tools in scholarly work is not prohibited, authors should avoid including AI-generated images in their submissions. AI tools may not be listed or designated as authors. Authors are accountable for the quality and integrity of their scholarly work. Authors of the manuscript are fully responsible for the entirety of its contents, including those parts produced by an AI tool.
